If you are a NJ-based business and you are experiencing financial hardship because you have reduced or suspended operations at your NJ business due to COVID-19, then you may have the option of postponing the payment of premium due under your policy for a 90-day grace period. If you choose this option, you will not be responsible for the payment of premium until after the 90-day grace period ends. You may elect this 90-day grace period to apply retroactively on April 1, 2020 or to apply on May 1, 2020. Please note that this option is not a waiver of premium. You will still be responsible for the payment of all premium that accrues during the 90-day grace period. Once the 90-day grace period expires, we will bill you for the amount that has accrued. If you are still experiencing financial hardship at that time, then you may have the option of paying the accrued amount in installment payments over the remainder of the current policy term or a 12-month span, whichever timeframe is longer.
